Week 9’s Week-at-a-Glance is available here. Scroll to the correct week if needed.
A quick note about ASB. Our 6th graders are eligible to run for ASB secretary, treasurer or 7th grade representative. Mr. Mach, our ASB advisor, sent out information earlier this week with details. Students also received a copy of the letter via their school email. It is also posted, with a link for signing up if interested in running, in our Gryphons Classroom. We know we have students who will excel in this form of leadership and look forward to seeing their names on the ballot. Deadline for submitting materials for candidacy is June 2nd. Elections are June 4th.
Our Mission to Mars project is nearing its final deadline, June 11th. Please find the Project Requirements and Colony Design Checklist linked here. These have also been available for the entirety of the project in the Science Classroom. It would be greatly appreciated if you were able to assist your student in a self assessment at this point to make sure they are on track to meet their due date.
One piece of the project is a presentation. Students may choose to present “live” or record themselves giving the presentation. We are asking that students use this form to indicate their preference. It is also posted in the Gryphon Classroom. If you would like to attend our “live” sessions, please let us know and we’ll invite you to the session, taking place between 10 and 12 on Monday, June 15th. We will have a more specific schedule once we hear back from our students. We’d love to have you in our audience!
We are so proud of the hard work we’ve seen from your students and want to extend a hearty “Well Done Parents!” We know it’s been a challenge, and we so appreciate the support you’ve been able to provide. If we can be of any assistance, please let us know.
