This coming Monday is Memorial Day. There is no school that day as we remember the people who gave their lives to ensure our country’s freedoms. On Tuesday we will follow our normal Tuesday schedule with office hours from 9:00 to 9:30, a live session at 10 and another at 11. We are all going to be using our live sessions as a project sharing and feedback time. Students will be sharing some of their HAB, greenhouse or colony designs to receive feedback from their peers during both sessions. These feedback sessions are good for everyone in the design process as it makes sure we are meeting success criteria and thinking critically about our own designs. It’s also a good time to pick up creative ideas from each other.
Our PTO College and Career Readiness Committee is seeking input from our 6th graders. Would you please have your student complete this form?
It is also linked in our Gryphon Classroom for students to access as well. Thank you!
Mr. Mattson, our Media Specialist would like to share the resource, Harry Potter at Home, with you. In it you will find the chapters of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, read by cast members from the Harry Potter films and Stage Productions. He particularly enjoyed hearing an adult Daniel Radcliff read the opening chapter of the entire series. Here’s the direct link to the chapters: https://www.wizardingworld.com/chapters
Also coming soon… the Camas Public Library’s summer reading program is going digital! For more information please visit this web site:
It’s hard to believe that it’s been over 2 months (2 MONTHS!) since we were last all together at Odyssey. We just have to say how proud we are of your students. They are giving it their best shot, even when times are trying and they are confused. We are so happy to connect with your students when they reach out for help via email or office hours. If you are seeing them needing more than what you can manage, PLEASE encourage them to contact us and we will be there.
