Humanities: It was an "anchor day" in which our Gryphons all spend at least an hour writing their narrative drafts as a large group. During this time, Mrs. Dixon and Mrs. Stalheim pulled them for science and math. It was a HUGE success today and I told them how proud I was of their effort. I've never seen a group "get down to it" so quickly with writing. It seriously made made ecstatic to witness this. I can't wait to read what they've written.
Science: Mrs. Dixon had everyone work on disaster preparedness kits in our Collaboratory. Everyone is supposed to talk with their families about how prepared they are for disasters. I know I will be having a conversation with mine, as I'm realizing our plan needs some tweaking in the Blair household (after seeing what it should have).
Math: Folks practiced percents, found out how to divide fractions, and some of them worked with exponents. EVERYONE has homework.
