We got to sample our school-grown radish today. Lots of first timers took a nibble. There's a video on Social Media! It was quite rewarding to sample something we grew ourselves from a seed. We hope to sample our kale and spinach later this week. Hopefully the bunnies will leave our snap peas alone enough that we'll be seeing some of them before the last day. Also in science, we created teams to design Rube Goldberg Machines that highlight at least 3 types of energy and 5 transitions. All of this work will be done during class, but you may see requests for random supplies to come to school. These projects will be videoed and turned in on June 14th.

Today in Math we learned about operations with integers and substituting a variable with a value and using order of operations. Please check planners for homework.

Our Humanities time is focusing on developing exciting speeches that leave the audience feeling the passion the speaker has about the topic. These mini speeches will be presented during class time next week, June 11 and 12th. Encourage practicing at home.

We had a visitor this afternoon, Mr. Robert More. He will be a Humanities teacher with 6th grade next year as we grow to four sections worth of kiddos! We are very excited to welcome into our fold.

And some other exciting news, Mrs. Blair shared with us that she will be taking a leave of absence next fall to pursue her photography. While she loves us all very much and has had a fabulous year, her Art Heart is beating fiercely. And of course, this is the school that encourages you to follow your passion. We are sad to see her leave, but are excited for what her camera will be capturing! Be sure to follow her on social media to keep up with her adventures.
