What a crazy day we witnessed through our windows today! Also, we had a kind of crazy day inside, too. We switched elective times with 8th grade so they could visit the other high schools as they forecast for next year. But, as of right now, the sun is shining fiercely and we made it through the day.

SCIENCE: We took our first look inside the Solar Car Challenge kits today. Each partnership has a solar panel, motor, and other materials to construct a fast racer. We also learned that each group needs a tri-fold poster to present their design process and end results along with completed engineering notebooks. This project will need to take place ONLY during Science class, so its important to use our time well. You should have received an email earlier today with specifics. Please contact Mrs. Motsinger with any questions.

MATH: Students are preparing for assessments that will happen Thursday and Friday. Please check Pearson website and Google Classroom for practice and assignments.

HUMANITIES: Many students are into the revision work of their persuasive essay about solar power. If your student completed the peer review today, they should be making changes to their essay. The due date is TOMORROW!

CURIOSITY CRUISING: Thanks to our snow days and holidays, our time for curiosity cruising at school has been drastically diminished. It is okay for students to do some work on this project, especially the presentation portion, at home. Presentation schedule will be posted in the Gryphon classroom tomorrow.

TOM SAWYER production: One of our students is in the Journey Production of Tom Sawyer, performing this weekend at Fort Vancouver High School at 7 on Fri and Sat evening and 2 Sunday afternoon. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door.
