Today was our first collaboration effort with our peers in a Three Little Pigs STEM Challenge. Randomly grouped triads worked on building a stable house out of (drinking) straws, (popsicle) sticks, or (index card) bricks. This was an introduction to our engineering process as well as they were asked to plan out their ideas with specific counts, measurements and labels. All structures were tested with a huff, puff, and blow the house down setting from a fan. Then we debriefed the process as an entire group. CHECK OUT OUR INSTAGRAM AND FACEBOOK FOR PICTURES!

In the afternoon we continued working on our silhouette projects that answer the question: Who am I as a person? These will be displayed in the front lobby soon.

HOMEWORK: Today is National Cheese Pizza Day, so we asked students to poll their families for their favorite pizza toppings. Mmmm, maybe that just inspired your dinner this evening!
