Pretend Monday

Isn't it wild how long it's been since we've been to school on a Monday?! Let's hope the snow doesn't keep us away next week.

Humanities: We finished the last step in our persuasive essay, the counter argument. Breaking up this piece into parts has proven to be effective. Yet, many kiddos did not complete the body of the piece (it was due today) over the weekend. Please check with your child to see if it's done. We're peer editing tomorrow and I don't want anyone to miss out!

Math: Dividing fractions and the coordinate plane were covered today. Everyone has homework.

Science: There was an introduction of the Solar Car Challenge. The date for the official Clark County race is 3/9. We can take 10 6th grade teams. Info forthcoming! Also... PLEASE check with your student about the Energy CER that is DUE TODAY!!! Students were given time in class and PLT and should have had ample time to complete this on time. As of this post, 35 students still need to "TURN IN".
