Today saw the start of Curiosity Cruise presentations. Half of the students presented and received feedback from peers about their body language and voice. Trends we saw were those who used microphones had the advantage and presenters felt better if they had practiced a lot with family and friends. The second half is tomorrow. HOMEWORK: Practice!

Humanities: We did a quiz on annotations, thesis statements, testimonials and the 4 levels of questioning. They also reflected on the Socratic Seminar yesterday and if they presented today, the Curiosity Cruise presentation. HOMEWORK: Khan Academy VERB unit was assigned to rotations 2 and 4, due Monday.

Math: We talked about the base and height in a triangle and found the formula for area. HOMEWORK: Rotation 1 only - Lesson 9 practice problems.

Science: We looked at cell theory and started a virtual microscope lab. HOMEWORK: Rotations 1 and 3 only - Virtual microscope lab paper due Monday.
