Our First Friday!

Happy Friday Gryphons! Today was a day most 6th graders really looked forward to, the day they get to take their Chromebooks home. To that end, we would like to emphasize that students need to develop a routine at home to charge the Chromebook at night and bring to school the next day. We suggest, students have a permanent spot in which to plug in their Chromebooks. Also, students will need to have their Chromebooks fully charged for Monday as we will begin I-Ready testing (please also bring your headphones).

Besides checking out computers, students were introduced to our learner's creed here at Odyssey, which are ways in which we fulfill our school mission to be lifelong learners. Students were also introduced to the concepts of audience and purpose from Ms. Drier as they continued work on their silhouettes. Finally, we ended our first Friday together building community through a short game outside of people, tigers, traps. We have been impressed with the energy and quality of our students this first week and can't wait to see them Monday morning!
