How fitting that we celebrated Lost and Found Day with an Odyssey Lost and Found Fashion Show this morning at Morning Meeting! Every Winter and Spring Break we take a few moments to give a proper nod to those who have lost their items here at school. We recruit models of all shapes and sizes to wear the lost items so that their owners can find those items and we cheer them on as they walk down the runway. These include sweaters, jackets, beanies, lunchboxes, water bottles, gloves, more jackets, more sweaters, and things with no names. It was a great time and we even had an umbrella open inside the building, and we did it for fashion.

ANCHOR ACTIVITY: Editing narratives!

Students did a great job editing today. They really took peer editing seriously and tried their best at making sure there were no more run-on sentences, convention errors, or weird quotation mark thingys. Narratives are due early next week!

Science: we know it was a little rough getting the preparedness kit so Mrs. Dixon modeled the kit so expectations were clear! Your students should be having a conversation with you--more details in Google Classroom!

Math: Students learned more about percentages! Some received their assessments back (and some didn't--sorry!). Compact 7/8 kids are learning about Properties of Exponents (Lesson 2-6) which was due yesterday. Please email Mrs. Stalheim for any questions regarding math!

May we all survive the last week before Winter Break. <insert fingers crossed emoji>
