Another busy day at Odyssey. In Science we had a work day for our brochures. Since being assigned last week, students should have been working a little at a time to write their content. All information about this project, including rubrics, directions, and formatting requirements are posted in Google Classroom. Students have been encouraged to type out their content in a document that they can then cut and paste from to the actual formatted template. Tomorrow we will be using a peer review protocol to make sure our information is accurate and understandable. HOMEWORK have content written for the 5 sections: Neurotypical brains, Atypical brain differences, Learning & Memory, Personal Success Strategies, Brain cells/organism hierarchy. This content DOES NOT have to be in the formatted template.
In Humanities, we finished our CSI (pictures with explanations) and grouped students for the Ancient Civilizations project. Research about the geography and resources of this culture became the focus of class time. Each group picked an article to read with Mr. More or Ms. Drier tomorrow during class. HOMEWORK finish the CSI if it didn't get finished during class.
During Math we connected what we know about nets to what we know about surface area! The kids learned how to draw nets and find their areas by decomposing and recomposing. They're getting so good at this!
HOMEWORK: Lesson 14 practice problems or Lesson 13 practice problems (if not complete).
