We'd like to invite you to our Ancient Civilization Showcase. Student groups will be displaying their project about one of the 6 studied civilizations. Please mark WEDNESDAY, January 22nd, 9:30 - 10:30 on your calendars. We hope you can drop in sometime during that time.

During Science rotations Blue and Red sorted through the data of our waste audit last Friday. We figured out weights of specific types of waste, and tallied how many individual pieces of waste for each type. These numbers were plugged into a spreadsheet and then we tried out making charts to visualize where our biggest wastes are. This will inform our next project. NO HOMEWORK

Today in Math Green and Yellow learned about TAPE DIAGRAMS! So far in ratios we’ve had 3 different ways to visualize ratios: double number lines, ratio tables, and TAPE DIAGRAMS! Please help your student study for the upcoming Unit 2 Assessment at the end of the week (Thursday or Friday) and review the lesson summaries in Unit 2!

Students were introduced to a second set of vocabulary in ELA. Lists are linked below. We continued reading the two novels. Students seem to be really enjoying the stories. HOMEWORK Vocab tests and written assignment due Thursday or Friday, depending upon rotation day.
