Just a quick note

This morning we split the time for 2 of our classes. Half the time was a last change solar car workshop. Many of our groups finally saw some success! The other half we were in math working on map projects and solving math problems using symbols to represent unknown values. After lunch we split into Theater Troupe groups and generated our group norms - expectations and agreements that all group members signed and put on display. Tomorrow these troupes will begin working together to write plays/screenplays based on images from Harris Burdick, a mysterious story writer. Ask your student about it. Then we had the solar car trials. Quite a few groups had to forfeit and a number of us ran into the joint on the track, stopping the cars short. But there were also many successes! Engineering Notebooks will be reviewed tomorrow morning and our top ten teams will be announced at the end of the day. Fliers about the race on Saturday came home with kiddos today, please look for them. Students not in the top ten are still welcome to come cheer on their peers.

Homework: none! (Though checking Google classroom for missing/late assignments, or assignments that could be redone because they earned less than a 3 is always encouraged!)
