Happy Nobel Prize Day!

Nobel prizes in Chemistry, Physics, Medicine, Literature, and Peace were awarded today. Click here for the details!

It was another work day in humanities. Student groups are busy developing their ancient civilization projects. Work plans were also reviewed with a teacher to make sure things are on track. HOMEWORK self assigned for the ancient civilization project.

During science, GeoChallenge teams committed to the Explorer's Code and found out about how resources are organized in Google Classroom. Teams also used their art work from yesterday to create a team poster that will be on display in our space. HOMEWORK review pages 3, 4 and 24 of the team guide in Google Classroom.

Today in math we made some visual displays of what an equivalent ratio is. We really wanted to drive home this concept because in the coming years, “ratios” will become “proportions” and understanding how equivalent ratios are proportional is a key foundation of middle school math. NOTE: visual displays are completed within partnerships and DUE THURSDAY.

HOMEWORK: lesson 5 practice problems

MORE NOTES: many students do not have Lessons 1-3 completed. Please check in with your student (or just look at their workbook and make them show you!) to make sure they are practicing daily
