Humanities finished up their novel units and we look forward to switching rotations and starting books on Monday!
MATH:
Today Green and Yellow learned about percentages! Yes, you probably know how to help the kids get the percent of a number but we aren’t doing it like all of you smart, quick-witted adults! We are going to take the long way so that we can make the connection that percent actually means “per-cent” or “for every 100”. Similar to a unit rate which is “for every 1 unit”, percentages are also used to find equivalent ratios!
GREEN: Lesson 12 Practice Problems
YELLOW: No homework!
Science: We continue our progress on the Solar Cars. PLEASE start sending the tri-folds in. Students were supposed to chat with their partners to determine which would purchase the tri fold. Kids were told they should split the cost. Trifolds are due at school by next Friday, March 7. PARENTS: Can you help with our races on Wednesday or Thursday morning? I would enjoy your support on from 8:30 to 10:45 if you can spare the time to record race times and keep teams queued. Send me an email ASAP kerin.motsinger@camas.wednet.edu
Have a great weekend!
