Happy National Nacho Day! It's been really fun as we've switched house leaders and each of the teachers took on a whole new house! What a crazy time it was!

Humanities: we debriefed about the Nacirema culture! Ask your student about where the Nacirema came from. Each group also discussed the importance of not judging other cultures and their cultural norms (very important in our diverse population here at Odyssey!). Students also started their COLOR-SYMBOL-IMAGE (CSI) "What is civilization?" Aaaaaaand NO HOMEWORK YAY!

Science: The kids looked over their rubrics for the brain brochure and even got to see an example of what it should look like! They should have almost all of the content written by now and no formatting (all the prety stuff) should be done until the content is complete. There was also a brain check quiz! Aaaaand no assigned homework except self-assigned material.

Math: today we talked about 3-D polyhedra! It was fun to see the kids learn about these new geometric figures. Homework: Lesson 13 practice problems.
