Each group in Humanities did guided/close reading with either Mr. More or Ms. Drier. Both of them modeled how to annotate articles in NewsELA. Then we mapped out how to tell the "story" of our ancient civilizations. HOMEWORK there is a vocabulary test on Thursday, so worksheets should be completed prior to them. The second article on NewsELA should also be completed.
During Science we took notes about the 4 different types of plate tectonic boundaries. Then groups of students worked together to create skits that modeled each of them. These will be presented tomorrow. HOMEWORK the Question in Google Classroom about the types of boundaries is due by 9:00 a.m. This should be a well written paragraph. Also, Wegener CER revisions due Monday.
Today in Math we started Lesson 2, which covers how to draw diagrams! We learned that diagrams are a quick, neat and organized visual that helps us make sense of math problems. It was fun to see all the different ways the kids interpreted different ratios and sketched quick diagrams. No homework tonight! Yahoo! Also Mrs. Stalheim forgot to hand out the tan-colored family reference guide for Unit 2 but look for that tomorrow (hopefully, hehe).
