Humanities: Today students were introduced to the concepts o f testimonials as evidence and the three levels of questions. To that end, students will have quiz later this week on the following four items: 1) annotation strategies, 2) what is a thesis and where is it? 3) what are testimonials and 4)what are the three levels of questions. (Click here!) HOMEWORK: Khan Academy Noun unit test due tomorrow. Study for quiz.

Math: Today we made connections between triangles and parallelograms. We are using our knowledge to find the formula of the area of a triangle. HOMEWORK: Lesson 7 practice problems. Please find the key on Google Classroom.

Science: We wrapped up our experiment about practice improving learning. Kids were excited to realize that even though we only practiced 2 or 3 times, our brains had still created a pathway to retrieve some information about our mazes 3 days later! Then we explored the hierarchy of cells to organisms. HOMEWORK: 5 minute maze practice tonight AND read pages posted in Classroom by Wednesday to prepare for a Kahoot Quiz.

Curiosity Cruise: Students went over the presentation rubric. Kids are starting to practice these. Remember they are to be 3 to 5 minutes in length. Encourage your kiddo to practice for you!
