Tomorrow's spirit day: Twin or Tie-dye Day.

Math - Today we used the formula to find the area of different triangles and also found different pairs of base and heights within a triangle. HOMEWORK: Rotation 1, page 72, Rotations 2, 3, & 4 lesson 9 practice problems.

Science - We labeled the parts of a microscope today and those of us who had our homework complete were able to use them to explore a variety of slides. We are using the microscopes all week, so students who were ineligible still have the opportunity to use them. HOMEWORK: complete the virtual microscope lab with the second link in Google Classroom: Microscope Learning (with accompanying paper) AND have half a page of notes about the different types of brain cells.

Humanities - We started talking about what factors make a civilization. Groups of students started creating posters identifying these factors. The posters will be presented in class later this week. HOMEWORK: Khan Academy verb unit - complete through the test by Wednesday.

VOCABULARY - These linked words should be used in conversation journals this week. Feel free to incorporate them into your family discussions, too.
