We encouraged all our students to do at least 2 acts of kindness today within our community. Ask your student what they did to celebrate.

MATH was fun today as some rotations connected geometry with perfect squares and perfect cubes! (Lesson 17) Other rotations continued their work in Lesson 15 and found the surface area of various polyhedra. All rotations received graded assessments. You’ll find that some students scored 2s and lower—this is because the assessment was only assessing Level 2 Learning Targets. Actually, Mrs. Stalheim will be sending a more detailed email later this evening. Please look for that for more explanation!

HOMEWORK: Rotation 2 and 4—Lesson 15 Practice Problems. NO HOMEWORK FOR ROTATION 1 and 3!

SCIENCE time was spent making finishing touches on the brain brochures. Those of us who met the deadline got to participate with Kahoot quizzes about the brain and all our recent learning. Some were even made by our peers! A few students asked for extensions, so please check with your kiddo to see if they need help setting aside the time to get this finished. No more class time is available for this. HOMEWORK: If your student earned less than 5 points on last week's quick check, it needs to be fixed and resubmitted TODAY! (This is optional for students earning 8.5 or less.)

HUMANITIES ... we spent our time just like yesterday. HOMEWORK CERs about what resources available allowed their ancient civilization to develop are due Friday.
