Happy International Lego Day!

It's another busy week with the second half of the field trip and 5th grade visits on Thursday and Friday!

**FIELD TRIP TOMORROW FOR RED AND GREEN: Dress warmly and for rain! Lunch will be eaten immediately upon return.** I will type this again in Science to remind you!

In Humanities, the Red and Green rotations took their week three vocabulary and spelling quiz. Students in the Green rotation read Chapter 7 in The City of Ember and answered questions about a new character development in the story. The Blue and Yellow rotations continued reading A Wrinkle in Time and will take their vocabulary and spelling quiz tomorrow. There is no homework.

In Humaniscience we started creating a Google Slide to act as a poster that promotes our ideas for solutions to our waste problem. Some of us will show these slides during the 5th grade visits on Thursday and Friday, and try to garner votes for their solutions.

HOMEWORK: make sure the CER is completed and turned in on Science Google Classroom

**FIELD TRIP TOMORROW FOR RED AND GREEN: Dress warmly and for rain! Lunch will be eaten immediately upon return.** SEE. I typed it again.

Blue and Red groups had math today. Blue finished up Lesson 1 of Unit 3 (more ratio/rates/proportions work) while Red moved on to Lesson 2 of Unit 3 (measurement and estimation). One of the 6th grade standards and something we think is important at PBL is the skill of estimating. We found that we are pretty good at "eyeballing" some measurements like 1 inch, 1 cm, and 1 meter. We found that we had to work a bit harder to tell the difference between a meter and a yard.

HOMEWORK: Lesson 1 Practice Problems

Note for families of Red group: These Lesson 1 Practice Problems were given last Friday with ample time to finish. Red group needs to have these done ASAP!
