We've been working so hard this week, how about you all take Monday off? (hee hee!) Seriously, we hope you enjoy your 3 day weekend.
Humanities: We helped guide students research into their understanding the geography of their ancient civilization. Helpful links have been posted on Google Classroom. We also discussed how humans went from hunter/gatherers to forming civilizations. HOMEWORK: none
Science: Today was spent in peer review. Students shared with 5 different listeners and received specific feedback to help them improve their written portions before the deadline of Wednesday, Nov. 13. HOMEWORK Student have self assigned some brochure work to ensure they meet the Wednesday 2:00 pm due date. (FYI there will be two class periods on Tuesday and Wednesday for work, but that is NOT enough time to do all the content writing.) Please ask your student to share their 5 sections with you. It's pretty interesting stuff!
Math: Today some of us drew nets of different polyhedra! We used our spatial reasoning to unfold a 3-D figure and made it into a flat 2-D figure. Also, be sure to check your email this weekend for a message from Mrs. Stalheim regarding standards-based grading in math! HOMEWORK: Rotation 1 ONLY needs to have Lesson 15.3 completed.
FYI - There will be no new vocab words next week for the conversation journals. We take breaks from this on shortened weeks.
