Happy Election Day!

We hope you practiced your civic right today!

Humanities: we learned about the Nacirema culture and their body rituals. In fact, we encourage you to have a conversation with your student about this group of humans and your student's perspective on this different culture.

homework: finish the response questions in Google Classroom.

Science: what a fun learning day learning about neurons! We modeled how the two types of brains cells (neurons and glial cells) interact to send information to the brain.

homework: same as yesterday! Be ready for a Brain Cell Quick Check tomorrow (Wednesday) and have at least half of your brain cell brochure ready.

Math: today in rotations 1 and 2, we continued onto Lesson 13 and learned about POLYHEDRA, which are 3-D figures with straight edges and no curves! We looked at the characteristics of pyramids and prisms and all that fun stuff that looks like clear jewels. :) Rotations 3 and 4 continued their work on surface area and found that we need to count the area of more than one face of a prism, in fact, we need to count ALL the faces to find the surface area!

homework: no homework! WOOHOO!
