Kinda was a Blasé Day! With Thanksgiving Break only a few days away, the kids were excited and ready for this short week.
SOME SCHOOL NEWS: we are starting a service project, thanks to our ASB! We will be collecting lightly worn or new shoes for a shoe drive. These will be collected and repurposed by an organization who will give us some money for it! Yay!
HUMANITIES: today each civilization group chose two big events to place on our BIG 6 METER TIMELINE, which covers 6000 years of history. We also had time to begin writing an argumentative essay which is DUE TOMORROW!
HOMEWORK: argumentative essay (for instructions, see Google Classroom)
SCIENCE: today we continued making revisions on their brain brochure, ensuring they meet expectations on their CER. Many students also start their mini brain projects.
DUE TOMORROW: ALL BRAIN BROCHURE REVISIONS!!!
MATH: it was an easy-easy relaxing day in math. Some students received their End-of-Unit 1 Assessment with scores. Students can choose to make revisions or re-assess within the next two weeks. We also took a "show what you know" quiz to see what these kids know about our next unit: RATIOS!
DUE TOMORROW: ANY TEST REVISIONS FROM MID-TOPIC ASSESSMENT (completed on Nov. 1st)
