Fitting that it actually WAS someone's birthday today. Happy Birthday Denis! We're getting used to this new schedule and have found lots of positives, like not being overwhelmed with homework, having dedicated time to get it done, with help nearby if we need it, and a long time for project work!

Blue and Red rotations went to Science today. These groups also explored definitions of words related to plastics, used them in a fun online race quiz and then tested some plastic samples to determine what number type of plastic it was. Check out our social media sites for video and pictures. HOMEWORK review the three resources posted in Google Classroom as Plastics Everywhere - materials.

Yellow and Green rotations went to Math today. They explored ratio tables, like yesterday's groups. See the blog from yesterday for more details. HOMEWORK Lesson 12 practice problems.

In Humanities today, we finished up our mini-lesson on narrative writing. The students practiced creating a setting, different types of characters, as well as a plot diagram and theme for a story. Groups then moved on to an introduction on informative writing and Red and Green rotations began reading a Newsela article on a plastic clean up project. HOMEWORK study vocabulary words for quiz on Friday. Vocabulary writing assignment due Friday.
