We're keeping busy! Today was no exception. It was an "A" Day. Yellow and Green went to science and Red and Blue were in math. Everyone had a Language Arts session.

For science, we reviewed the results of our plastic sample testing from earlier this week. Then student worked with a partner to write two questions for a class Kahoot. These questions need to be answered using the three resources students previewed for homework this week. On Friday, all students will participate in a waste audit of what Odyssey middle schoolers are throwing away at lunch at in our learning spaces. This will inform our project direction for how humans impact the resources on Earth.

HUMANITIES: Today we read and annotated an article about the efforts to reduce the plastic waste in our water/oceans/rivers. Students used their information writing skills to pick out the main idea of the reading and evidence to support within the text. Reminder: VOCAB QUIZ ON FRIDAY!

HOMEWORK: paragraph (in Google Classroom) is homework for all rotations EXCEPT BLUE. Study vocab, too! :)

MATH: today we continued working on RATIO TABLES and DOUBLE NUMBER LINES. We made connections on how they both show the same information but one might be of better use than the other. We also reviewed how to use ratio tables and Reminder: ASSESSMENT ON RATIOS NEXT WEEK!

HOMEWORK: Lesson 13 Practice Problems
