PICTURE RETAKES on FRIDAY!

Tomorrow is the first day of Curiosity Cruise presentations. Students will present to their house members throughout the morning. The second half will present tomorrow. This first presentation is always a good benchmark and we will see such growth by the end of the year, but they are always exciting since the topic is chosen by the students! HOMEWORK: We encourage your kiddos to practice this evening and dress to impress!

MATH: Students worked through lessons in Khan academy today. HOMEWORK Nothing new was assigned, but make sure you are caught up on all work from this week!

SCIENCE: We started the day with a Kahoot quiz. It was a fun way to review the material students had read over the past two days. We finished up our diagrams of basic animal and plant cells, noting similarities and differences. This is leading us into investigating specialized cells. HOMEWORK: Do some research about different types of brain cells. At least half a page of notes is needed in the Science journal by Monday.

HUMANITIES: Today students participate in their first Socratic Seminar around the topic Halloween. It was great to see students engaged in a topic for 15 minutes with most students saying, "That was a lot of fun! I can't wait to do that again." To which Mr. More replied, "You will have several more opportunities this year!" HOMEWORK: Quiz tomorrow about annotation styles, thesis, testimonials and 4 levels of questioning.
