First of all, we WON THE DANCE COMPETITION at the all school dance-off this morning. There is some very amusing footage on Instagram and Facebook, if you'd like to take a look. We earned 5 minutes of extra lunch time. Very impressive showing of (in no particular order) Tavin doing the "worm", Hunter cutting a rug and lots of twirling hands in the air. Your kids are so fun. :)

Science: Today everyone worked on their cell research during our morning "anchor activity time". The expectation was that it would be completed by today. They had an hour yesterday and an hour (at least) today to finish. Please ask your child if they brought it home to complete and bring it Monday, because Mrs. M is moving on to the next phase of building their cell model.

Math: Quizzes were completed today. No homework today, unless it wasn't finished this week.

Humanities: Today the country groups were announced for our Model United Nations assembly that is taking place next Wednesday. I gave them time to research on a shared Google doc and they were off to a great start. The expectation for the UN assembly is that they come prepared to talk about whether their nation is helping or hindering the rising temperature of the planet, and what is being done. Each representative will need to speak for a participation grade during this event. I was pleased with how excited they were to dive into their country's information!

Curiosity Cruising: After brainstorming things we're curious about yesterday, today we honed in on what can be completed in the 30 daily minutes at school. We then filled in a calendar of how to plan each day of work leading up to the presentation week for these projects. Please ask your child what they're working on---you might be surprised!

Have a great weekend!
