Week 7’s Week-at-a-Glance is available here.
Please encourage our students to begin their day in the GRYPHON CLASSROOM every day. One of us posts a video message every morning that includes important information, and also birthday messages, sometimes fun jokes and music, other times trivia challenges. And soon we will be featuring student made announcements! If a 6th grade Gryphon would like to make an announcement, they should record themselves making it and send it to one of the teachers. Announcements can be celebrations, shout outs, fun facts and trivia or jokes. We’re looking forward to these! The Gryphon Classroom is also the place students can always find the Week-at-a-Glance and schedules linked in the stream.
Perhaps you’ve heard of the big Mars Colony project? Just wanted to make you aware that there are requirements posted in the Science Classroom (and linked here) to access at any time. Our assignments and live sessions have all been focused on learning in order to complete a colony design that students will then pitch as the one to be built on the red planet. There is a presentation component, which can be live or pre recorded. Mark your calendars, June 11th is the due date! More details to come on how you can participate as a live audience member on June 15th.
Thank you for continually supporting your children in their learning, however that may look in your home. We know you are working hard and everyone is doing their best. We also know you know your children and what works best for your family. Please continue to take care of your family’s emotional wellbeing and don’t hesitate to connect with us whenever you may need clarification or support of your own.
