Today was an amazing second day of Design Thinking! We reviewed the design/engineering process and Mrs. Stalheim took us around the school to look for any physical needs. Then, we took what we knew about the school as a whole to help us define a problem and create an experience needed by the staff and students. We discussed the criteria of this experience as being something durable (long-lasting), "green" (eco-friendly/sustainable), and something that does not compromise the design of the building (we would need too many permits for that, haha). We learned what "ideation" meant and how important it is in our PBL world, and we were off and running with our group!
In Science, we learned about why we learn so differently from others. Mrs. Motsinger helped us understand our learning styles, and what makes our brain learn the way it learns.
HOMEWORK: find a reliable source to share with classmates about learning styles/the brain and post the link in Google Classroom.
In Humanities, we continued to work on our Photo Story, continuing to develop the different parts of our writing.
HOMEWORK: finish taking notes of the Photo Story!
