Another day of forensic labs today. We looked at the powders collected from two suspects' shoes, looked for evidence on the shirts the suspects wore, tested the pH levels of the liquid in the ice cube tray, compared DNA samples with a hair found at the scene and did some handwriting analysis. We are getting closer to creating our cases for what actually happened. Tomorrow they will work in groups to come up with a presentation explaining what they feel occured that fateful day at Felix's beach house. Special thanks to Mrs. Lumiansky, Mrs. Ostap, Mrs. Tautfest, Mrs. Barton, and Mrs. May for helping out with our science lab stations today.
During our Language Arts block, students worked on a CER (Claim, Evidence Reasoning) response outlining who they think committed the crime in written format to show Ms. Drier and Mr. More where we are starting with argumentative writing and Mrs. Motsinger how they can organize their science thoughts. This CER is due this evening in the Humanities Google Classroom.
In Math, graphs were due today. Some students asked for extensions, in which case their graphs are due tomorrow!
