Thank you for checking with your kid to make sure the Chromebooks are plugged in every night and coming to school fully charged.

We are keeping busy with various missions as we work towards the realization or our colony designs. In Science students continued working on their Grow Mission experiments. We started keeping data on a spreadsheet and now just need to let the seeds do their thing. Now we will spend Science times researching different aspects important to keeping colonists alive and happy. Homework: initial research of natural resources available on Mars (in the air or ground).

Math missions today included finishing up area formulas for parallelograms and trapezoids. NO HOMEWORK for Math.

We read chapters 7 and 8 with groups and discussed the different perspectives the author uses to differentiated when Mark Watney journals and when NASA people are talking. We are excited about the dynamic that Mark doesn't know NASA knows he's alive and NASA doesn't know everything Mark is doing. Homework: Begin answering questions for chapter 6 to 10. These are NOT due until Friday, so please do not turn them in yet!
