Your wonderful kiddos gave me such a pleasant day today! There were all kinds of birthday hugs and wishes and a super cool Tigger Birthday Sign! Thank you for sharing your thoughtful children with us every day.
On the curriculum front, students began iReady testing in Math today and will spend math time for the rest of the week completing this. The math practices foldable project is due on Friday and students are encouraged to use PLT and at home time to work on this to meet the deadline.
In Humanities, the Geography Games are in full swing. Students have been studying countries in North, Central and South America. Some students took the test today by choice, but everyone else will be naming them tomorrow. Then the next set of countries is Asia and will be October 2nd. That's a toughie, so encourage your kiddo to study for at least 10 minutes every night.
Our brain groups in Science modeled how the 4 lobes of the brain interact with each other when a verbal command is detected. That was fun. A few of these performances will be posted on social media shortly! (Pardon the sound quality, we were competing with band next door.) Then we all started using the online learning platform CK12. Our first assignment there is due tomorrow afternoon at 4:00.
