CURRICULUM NIGHT is Wednesday! See you 5:30 to 7!
We're getting into the swing of things. Today was a rotation day. These days see groupings of students move between four different classes: Math, Science, Humanities, and Curiosity Cruise. Three of these happen prior to lunch and the final one occurs after lunch before PLT.
Math: We learned more about parallelograms and there is HOMEWORK: Lesson 4 practice problems in the workbook are due tomorrow. Answer key is posted in Google Classroom. Click here if your kid forgot their workbook at school!
Science: Today's discussion led us to atypical brain development. Kids are pretty familiar with the terms ADHD, anxiety and depression. So we began some research into what is happening in a brain that is experiencing these diagnoses. HOMEWORK: research 10 to 15 minutes on chosen area. Take notes in notebook. Be ready to share in group tomorrow.
Humanities: We had a work day to finish up the CER for All Summer in a Day. HOMEWORK: CER is due in Humanities Classroom tomorrow by 1:30 pm.
Curiosity Cruise: We introduced vocabulary to be used in students conversation journals throughout each week. Then there was time to work on their Curiosity Cruise topics. These presentations are scheduled for Oct. 24 and 25.
