But your kiddos were amazing, adjusting to our modified schedule. We got right to work in core subjects and were able to get two rotations in before lunch. After lunch we had a tiny bit of time for Curiosity Cruising (presentation schedule for next week is posted in the Gryphon Classroom) and ended up with our final core subject before heading to electives. Here's what to expect for this evening and tomorrow.
HUMANITIES: Persuasive essays were to be turned in today. Please double check that your students turned this in in Google Classroom. They can show you! Also a NewsELA article with a short answer was assigned and is also due this evening. The link is in Google Classroom.
SCIENCE: Student teams continued working on creating circuits and the sun cooperated beautifully with us as we included our solar panel and made the motors hum. Next steps were researching gears and how they could be used to move their cars forward. Optional homework this evening can be furthering this research.
MATH: There are assessments tomorrow on dividing fractions. For those students who have completed these, a special project is in the works. As usual, please check Pearson and Google Classroom to make sure you are up to date.
CURIOSITY CRUISING: Presentations are next week. Please invite your student to practice her/his presentation in front of you. Students are evaluated on presentation skills. See the rubric in the front of the student planner.
