iReady testing tomorrow check that your kid has headphones.

Today was a busy day full of rotations.

Humanities: We worked on writing out comprehension questions for chapter 2 from the book The Lemming Condition. This story follows Bubber, a young lemming, who is wrestling with going with the flow to leap off a cliff or making his own decision based on his own research. By the way, 21 kids still need to finish ch. 2 questions for homework tonight. We also read chapter 4 and had a big discussion about how to be compassionate and read people's body language and facial expressions.

Math: We spent our time reassessing our ability to use operations with rational numbers. There is no homework.

Science: We reviewed our findings from Friday's waste audit. We also learned about the specifics of our project: an infograph that answers the question "How does Odyssey positively impact Earth's resources?" Details and the rubric are posted in Google classroom. We will have time in class to work on this, but the due date is Thur. Jan 31st. Thank you for checking in with your kiddo about how s/he is doing.

Civilization projects continue to move ahead. Due date for these is January 30th. Please check with your student on how s/he is doing with collaboration within her/his groups.
